I am Scott Riba, running for election as Montrose County Commissioner. I moved to Montrose, Colorado 23 years ago with my wife, Linda. We came to Colorado from California to escape the overly regulatory environment, the Democrat controlled state government, and the unrelenting infringement on our Constitutional rights.
Colorado is a beautiful state with hardworking people trying to raise families, thrive in agriculture, and build businesses. But Colorado is changing. Outside forces are coming to make Colorado another California. Every day our state government is working to strip us of our Constitutional rights in ways like banning energy development, deciding whether you can have a gas appliance in your home, or deciding who can purchase your multi-family property. I am running for Montrose County Commissioner District 3 to fight to preserve our Colorado. We have to remain engaged and enthusiastically active in our battle to protect and preserve our Western Colorado heritage and lifestyle.
I will work hard to continue and build the current Republican Commissioner’s successes by helping to build effective plans for county growth, consider citizens first when allocating funds, and making sure to work for YOU, the citizens of Montrose County, as YOUR Montrose County Commissioner. I am asking for your vote in support.

I advocate for policies that foster smart, sustainable development, ensuring that our county thrives while preserving its unique character and resources.
